Spooky action at a distance

The greatest beauty of quantum physics is that it never ends! So there is so much more to discover We know the whole problem here is the electron. We should find where these electrons will come and go. How can we catch him? If you are a police officer (Detector)….how you will find the electron….. Very simple…..we look where he(electron) is likely to be seen. scientists have done the same. Studied the probability of finding the electron. So quantum physics is purely a study of probability. But it has a powerful and detailed mathematical framework. Let's peep through Uncertainty Principle. Imagine that you are a policeman looking for an electron. when attempting to locate the electron's position. You won't be able to predict where the electron will move as the size of the area where it is likely to be detected reduces. The size of the region where the electron is likely to be detected is quite large* if you know where it is traveling. All these things came into picture if you...

Some static electric thoughts.

When I was explaining static electricity to 8th-standard students, as an introduction I explained how charges and their attracting and repelling properties are responsible for the lovely attraction of tiny papers on a comb that is charged by rubbing against your head.  Suddenly a question from a curious mind arose "Sir, are these charges causing the magnetic behaviour of electromagnets? How do they only become magnetic when electricity is applied?" The answer lies in Einstein's special theory of relativity. Yes, the theory explains the time dilation length contraction. But we know if these particles are reaching the velocity of light i.e, around 3 lakhs km per second. For example, If you are waiting at a bus stop and watching a bus of length 15m traveling at a velocity of 2 lakhs 25 thousand km per second then its length will appear to be 10 m for you. But someone who is sitting inside the bus doesn't feel that except that person will feel you became very thin. This ...

Butterfly's Desavathara movie

Kamal Haasan's Dasavathaaram movie was released when I was in 7th standard. I watched that movie with scientific curiosity, but when I got to the degree level, Dr Sharmila teacher introduced another subtle and beautiful aspect of Dasavatara. Later, when I saw the movie, I could see that Kamal Haasan has used physics beautifully in it. In the beginning of the film is starting from Govind's(Scientist Kamal hassan) speech in that he was saying the 12th-century Rangarajanambi (old Kamala Haasan) and Vishnu idol placed in the sea are related to the 2004 tsunami, He is connecting two entirely different events using chaos theory. **What is chaos theory?*** Although it can be quickly said that Behind every complexity there is a symmetry, Lorentz (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Norton_Lorenz) introduces chaos theory using the butterfly effect. The butterfly effect is that, the flapping of a butterfly's wings can turn into a huge...

Ohm's law and life.. Some stupid thoughts

Ohm's law is very simple, the current flowing through a conductor at a given temperature is directly proportional to the potential difference across it. How much electricity passes depends on the resistance of the conductor. Now let's come to the matter of the human beings and life, every conductor is like every human being, the temperature is like their situation. Depending on the circumstance, external pressure is their driving force(let's call it as potential drive). Which means, we can be influenced by the pressure from others. But how effective it will be, depends on our resistance.  For example.... Some people can be influenced very easily from external pressure and they are good conductors. Some people can't be influenced no matter how much others would say, they are very good insulators. Philosophically, we can quixotically say like this. But the reality is entirely different. Ohms law is not a universal law so you can't apply it to many people. That is, we ...

Ohm's law

In reality (There is nothing l...
